Free SEO checker: what score does your website get?
Type your website address and within seconds I'll tell you what's fine, what's broken and how to fix it. No sign-up.
- Google can index it: The page has a "noindex": Google won't show it. Remove it if you want to appear in results.
- Secure connection (HTTPS): The site doesn't use HTTPS. Google penalises it and browsers flag it as "not secure".
- Page title: The title is missing or its length isn't useful. Ideal: 15-65 characters with the service and city.
- Description for Google: The meta description is missing or not the ideal length (70-165 characters). It's the text shown under your title on Google.
- A single main heading (H1): The page should have exactly one H1 that clearly says what it's about.
- Mobile-friendly: The viewport tag is missing: on mobile it will look tiny or broken.
- Canonical URL: There's no canonical tag. It helps Google avoid treating versions of the same page as duplicates.
- Language declared: The page doesn't declare its language (lang attribute).
- Share preview: Open Graph tags are missing: when shared on WhatsApp or social media the link shows without a proper image or title.
- Structured data: No structured data (schema.org). It helps Google understand your business and show rich results.
- Images with alt text: Some images have no alt attribute. That's accessibility and image SEO.
- Text visible to Google: The page has very little text in the HTML. If content is painted only with JavaScript, Google sees it late or badly.
- Server response: The server is slow to respond. A slow site loses visits and rankings.
- No redirect chains: Reaching the page takes several redirects in a row. One hop is best.
- robots.txt file: There's no robots.txt. Not serious, but worth having, declaring your sitemap in it.
- Sitemap: No sitemap found. It helps Google discover all your pages.
- Local business data: Local business schema (LocalBusiness or similar) is missing. It tells Google your address, hours and business type, and helps you show up on the map.
- Tap-to-call phone number: The phone number isn't a "tel:" link. On mobile, people want to call with one tap, not copy the number.
- No map loaded upfront: The page loads Google Maps as soon as it opens: it slows the page and sends visitor data to Google without asking. Better to load it on click.
- Page weight: The page HTML is very heavy. It usually comes from templates or page builders and makes it load slower on mobile.
Frequently asked questions
What does this SEO checker review?
The basics I look at in any audit: whether Google can index the page, HTTPS, title and description, H1, mobile-friendliness, canonical, language, Open Graph, structured data, images without alt, visible text, server response, redirects, robots.txt and sitemap.
Is it free?
Yes, no sign-up. If you want a full review including competitors and the searches that could bring you clients, that's free too: request it from the button.
Does a high score mean I rank first on Google?
No. A high score means the technical foundation is right. Ranking also depends on content, competition, reviews and links.
Do you store the website I check?
Nothing is stored: the page is downloaded, analysed and the result returned.
